Kelley is a mother of 3. Their youngest Keegan was born with Classic Galactosemia in 2010. She and her husband Brian live in Chicago, Illinois. Kelley is a medical Speech Language Pathologist in a hospital in Chicago working with adults for over 25 years. She is active on committees within her hospital and enjoys teaching and mentoring. She is the Research Team Lead for the Galactosemia Foundation and has been actively participating on the research team for 10 years. She went to her first conference when Keegan was less than 2 months old in Minnesota. She and her husband quickly realized the importance of getting involved and staying active to learn as much about Galactosemia as possible. They have hosted various fundraisers through the years and continue to support the efforts of the community. Kelley is passionate about finding potential treatments to help those living with Galactosemia. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and volunteering in her children’s school. As a family, they enjoy making memories on the beach and vacationing together.
